tried various BIOS settings, but I don't any options for IRQ settings.did system restore to a point from a few days before the print problem, same issue.tried uninstalling all USB root hubs and all other USB devices from device manager (everything disconnected).

I could use other eyes on this issue to see what I'm missing. Tried intellipoint driverįrom MS for the specific keyboard/mouse meant for win 7 64 bit, Device manager still says "no driver found (code 28) no driver selected for device info set or element"Īt this point I've tried a variety of things, to no improvement. Go back to the wireless MS keyboard/mouse, now even that driver isn't loaded either. Manufacturer, cannot be installed due to compatibility issues, tried installing in compatibility (XP) mode, still compatibility issues. It comes back saying driver not found. Device manager shows exclamation and "USB Compliant Keyboard" but still cannot get it to load a driver. Tried uninstalling, updating driver, etc. When I plug in the USB keyboard to any of the same port I get message saying driver being searched for, then When the mouse is plugged into any of the 8 USB ports I have, windows recognizes and says driver installed, mouse happy. So I get a USB wired keyboard and mouse set, very basic. Keyboard DOES work in Bios but not in Safe Mode. Changed batteries, reset channel, uninstalled from device manager, reboot, etc. I shut down computer, boot back up, and find I have mouseĬontrol but no keyboard.

So for the moment I gave up figuring it was an older printer and I'd deal with it later.Ģ days later I'm having issues with my Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard, slow to respond, jerky. Went to HP, they say do windows update, go to MS and they say win Windows came back saying no driver could be found. Uninstalled printer, then tried to reinstall. Shut down printer, disconnected, rebooted, etc. Later that afternoon I found my USB HP DeskJet 6840 was no longer able to print. I do also have VmWare Workstation installed on it so I can do software testing in a variety of OS's for my job. The machine is only 4 months old and has been working fine since I got

I have a Win 7 Pro 64 bit, 8 gig ram, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00 ghz, Dell Optiplex 780.
